The Itinerary
Days 1-3: Masai Mara, Kenya
Fly into Nairobi. Transfer to the Masai Mara (drive or bush flight). Three days of game drives in the Mara's concentrated wildlife paradise. Highest lion density in Africa. Leopard, cheetah, elephant, buffalo. If here July-October, the migration herds and river crossings. Option to stay in a private conservancy for walking safaris and night drives.
Day 4: Cross-Border Transfer to Tanzania
Drive from the Mara to the Tanzania border at Isebania or fly Mara to Kilimanjaro/Serengeti. We handle all border documentation and vehicle changeover. Meet your Tanzanian guide and vehicle on the other side. Continue to your first Tanzania destination.
Days 5-7: Serengeti National Park, Tanzania
Three days in the Serengeti. The scale is different from the Mara. Vast, open, endless. Morning and afternoon game drives. Lion prides in the kopjes. Cheetah on the plains. The migration herds if in season. Optional balloon safari at dawn. Your guide positions you based on seasonal wildlife patterns.
Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater
Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the crater for a full day. Black rhino, lion prides, flamingos, buffalo herds. 25,000 animals on a 260 km² crater floor. Nothing else like it on Earth. Overnight on the crater rim.
Days 9-10: Tarangire + Departure (or Zanzibar Extension)
Game drive through Tarangire (elephants, baobabs) en route to Arusha. Depart from Kilimanjaro Airport. Or extend to Zanzibar for 3-5 days of Indian Ocean beaches, Stone Town, and Swahili coast culture.
